Ernst & Young just made an important announcement to totally strengthen its internal governance processes, becoming the first Big Four firm to formally do so. And it goes one step beyond what is required by Code. Recall that the firm was indicted quite hard in the recent Valukas report which examined E&Y’s role in the Lehman bankruptcy.
