Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management in Nashville, TN will soon be offering a Master’s degree in accountancy to train graduates and help them specifically enter the Big Four. This appears to be the first program of its kind aimed at careers in the top five global accounting firms – Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers...
Yeah, sure...only about every state school already have programs like this for <$15k. Why pay $35k to get into the Big 4 via Vandy when the recruiters really don't care where you get your education?
ReplyDeleteI am inclined to disagree with the previous comment; to suggest that the Big Four do not pay any attention to the academic institution applicants were educated is absurd. From personal experience, I have found that they specifically target applicants from certain universities...I thought this was an insightful post and would recommend that the author have a quick look at the EUY degree offered by LUMS: http://www.lums.lancs.ac.uk/departments/accounting/undergraduate/eydegree/
